It’s back to school at Really NEET after last week’s exertions in the Lake District… but what a week!
We arrived at Brathay just in time for lunch (burger & chips!) and were met by our two guides for the week, Jay & Mike.
After lunch and having chosen our rooms for the night, it was straight into the action with the high ropes challenge!
In the evening we hit the water, heading out onto lake Windermere in a whaler boat!
Any drowsiness the following morning was quickly wiped out as we went Ghyll scrambling!
We finished off the trip on Tuesday evening, once again confronting our fear of heights…
We got back Tuesday night and a much welcome break came our way on Wednesday, but we were back on it first thing Thursday as our second group of young people set off from Really NEET!
…but rather than the high ropes, this time we tried our hands at raft building!
Everyone from Really NEET had an amazing time and we owe so much to Mike & Jay from Brathay Trust for inspiring the young people (and staff!) to tackle their fears head on and come out the other side with more confidence and aspiration, as well as Andy from Travel Direct for driving us there and back again (and there and back again!)
